ARTS 17100. INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL IMAGING This course is designed to examine the concepts and practices of digital imaging as an art form. As part of that process, students will explore various techniques that include digital manipulation, digital collage, animation, and interactive website authoring. A special emphasis will be placed on understanding the practice of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop in order to generate, collage and manipulate still images and text. Flash will be utilized to create interactive websites and animations that may incorporate video and sound effects. Six hours of weekly class time that include lecture, digital demonstrations, slide presentations, critiques, and in-class work time. [AH]
